This time a year ago my mum passed away at 79. I had a chance to be with her for the last time together with all my sisters and at her bedside witnessing the passing. Although I understand the nature of the event, it’s still a very sad natural event.

Now, we commemorate a year of the passing with family and relatives. We pay our utmost respect to our mum for her unconditioned caring and loving kindness we never paid off, and being grateful living our lives.

I was extremely fortunate to find Ajahn Brahmavamso of Bodhinyana Monastery of Western Australia visiting my hometown in Bangka Island, Indonesia. After his talk, Ajahn Brahm kindly led us offering a dedication of merits to my late mum and to all sentient beings. My deep bows to Ajahn.

This great opportunity was made possible by Handaka Vijjananda, my friend I haven’t met for more than 10 years, and his team of Ehipassiko Foundation. Thanks all of you very much indeed for your kindness.

May all beings be happy…
